GAS DETECTION BARS

The safe and effective way of ground penetration for pinpointing gas and water leaks on roads, pavements and waste tips etc. They are available in different ground depths to suit the application.

Peter Wood & Co Ltd (now trading as PHC Ltd) of Sheffield working with British Gas originally developed the Searcher bar in 1974. The Searcher bars are produced from high quality materials, manufactured and tested to the exacting specification of the Gas Industry Standard GIS/E8:2006.

The tools are supplied complete with a rubber covered insulated handle and ground penetrating spike. Spares parts are available for purchase separately.

Each bar is tested to ensure it will resist 22 Kv a.c in accordance with BS3054
